Short Tubular Cam Lock 2400AS Older Stack-On Sentinel Replacement

This lock works for the old style Stack-On cabinets (with the up-down operating rods) with a little fitting of the hole on the Stack-On latch. Remove the Stack-On lock mechanism, and reassemble in exact order. You have to file the square hole in the center of the Stack-0n latch (in the 2"x4" plate) to make it rectangular to fit the 2400AS 1/4" threaded end. File the two sides of the hole that are parallel to the 2" sides of the plate. Temporarily install the 2400AS and study the operation of the Stack-On mechanism to be sure which direction to orient the rectangular hole. The 2400AS key will UNlock the door by turning clockwise from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock position. NOTE: The 2400AS key is designed to NOT be removable when the cabinet door is unlocked (very important). Be sure that you understand the operation before modifying the hole in the Stack-On mechanism. After re-doing the hole use the 2400AS lock, the Stack-On 5/8" escutcheon (outside of door), the Stack-On 5/8" lock washer inside the door, and the 2400AS 1/4" lock nut as the final assembly. Read and understand these directions.
